You will need |
6 potatoes 1 knob of butter 1 large egg 3 ounces of cheese 1 pinch of salt 1 pinch of pepper |

What to do |
1. Peal the potato and cut into slices. 2. Boil or steam them until they are soft. 3. Switch on the over so it can heat up to gas mark 7 ( 220 C). 4. Grate the cheese of cut it into very small chunks. 3. Place the potato pieces into a bowl, add the butter , salt, pepper and cheese, and beat until they are well mixed and form a creamy ball in the bowl. 4. Place large spoonfuls of the mix onto a baking tray. 5. Use a fork to first make a hole in the middle of each pile, then rough up the surface of the potato to make it look a bit like the twigs of a nest. 6. Cook for about half an hour or until golden coloured. Can be eaten as they are, or filled with anything you like as part of a bigger meal. Try adding a boiled egg to each nest! |
